A global private capital investment firm is seeking an Associate to join its Special Situations & Capital Solutions team. With a mandate to invest flexibly across the capital structure, the team partners with corporates and sponsors to provide tailored financing solutions in event-driven, stressed, and non-traditional situations. This hire reflects ongoing deal flow and the platform’s commitment to building out its Australian presence.

The role offers direct involvement in all aspects of the investment process, from origination and diligence through to structuring and execution. You will work closely with senior leaders on transactions spanning distressed debt, rescue financing, structured capital and other complex opportunities across multiple sectors.

The successful candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in investment banking (M&A), special situations, private credit or principal investing. Strong technical skills in financial modelling and valuation are essential, alongside a proven ability to assess complex credit and investment opportunities. Candidates must demonstrate commercial judgement, deal execution capability and a desire to build a long-term career in opportunistic credit investing.
