Investment Associate - Melbourne Fund Manager

Our client is a respected Melbourne-based Australian fund manager, managing significant funds under management, across a range of strategies including Australian and Global Equities.

Whilst the firm is a value driven investor, key to their ongoing success is the way they balance research focused views alongside sector, operational and management trends, combining fundamentals and a "real world" operational perspective. The firm is now looking for an Investment Analyst to join the team and working across both Global Equities and a more concentrated, specialist fund.

The hire will work as a sector agnostic Analyst supporting two successful Portfolio Managers. You must be versatile, creative, and driven, and most importantly have a passion for understanding businesses and finding actionable investment opportunities. The environment is a collegiate and team-based one, but also one where individual expectations are high, and the career path is meritocratic.

The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years' experience in M&A, Private Equity, or Corporate Development. Importantly, they will have a strong modeling tool-kit combined with demonstrable commercial nous, and the temperament to focus on underlying value when markets move around them.

The role will involve a degree of travel and direct exposure to C-suite and other senior industry professionals at leading global brands.
