As an Associate in Portfolio Management, you will support the active management of the firm’s infrastructure investment portfolio, spanning sectors such as transport, energy, utilities, digital infrastructure, and social infrastructure. The role focuses on monitoring financial performance, driving value creation initiatives, engaging with stakeholders, and supporting transaction-related activities including refinancings, follow-on investments, and exits.
You will work closely with the Investment, Asset Management, and Finance teams, as well as portfolio company management, co-investors, and external advisers.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Performance & Asset Management
- Monitor financial and operational performance of portfolio companies against budgets, business plans, and investment cases.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including financial statements, KPIs, and covenant compliance.
- Maintain and update financial models, including operational, valuation, and cash flow models.
Value Creation & Strategic Initiatives
- Support development and execution of value creation plans across portfolio assets.
- Assist with analysis of capital expenditure programmes, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives.
- Support bolt-on acquisitions, expansions, and follow-on equity investments.
Transaction & Capital Management Support
- Assist with refinancings, restructurings, recapitalisations, and exit processes.
- Prepare investment committee materials, board papers, and lender presentations.
- Coordinate with legal, financial, tax, and technical advisers on transaction execution.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support board and shareholder processes, including board packs, resolutions, and approvals.
- Liaise with portfolio company management teams, co-investors, lenders, and advisers.
- Ensure compliance with shareholder agreements, financing documents, and fund requirements.
Valuations & Fund Reporting
- Support quarterly and annual asset valuations in line with relevant valuation standards.
- Assist with fund-level reporting, including investor reporting and performance analysis.
- Contribute to ESG, risk, and regulatory reporting across the portfolio.
Skills & Experience:
- 2-5 years’ experience in infrastructure private equity, asset management, project finance, investment banking, or infrastructure advisory.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills (operational and valuation modelling).
- Solid understanding of infrastructure assets and long-term investment structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
