As a Senior Associate, you’ll support the origination, execution, and ongoing management of investment opportunities, helping to ensure that investment resources and capabilities create value across a portfolio of high‑growth companies. You’ll take ownership of initial screening and approval processes, prepare and present investment proposals, and provide clear reporting on origination activity and the broader investment pipeline.
Origination & Deal Development:
- Develop and expand industry networks to promote the Growth Capital investment strategy and generate high-quality deal flow.
- Proactively identify, assess, and engage with prospective investment opportunities and co-investment partners.
- Evaluate potential investments against defined Growth Capital investment criteria.
- Support the identification and articulation of value creation strategies for prospective investments.
- Assist with the management and delivery of industry events led by the Growth Capital team.
Investment Execution:
- Prepare investment recommendation papers, including risk and return analysis, financial and investment modelling.
- Support transaction structuring, negotiation of investment terms, and execution activities.
- Scope, coordinate, and manage third-party due diligence advisers.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, particularly legal and risk teams, throughout origination and transaction execution.
Candidate Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in a venture capital or private equity investment team, or comparable transactional experience in investment banking, financial advisory, or similar roles.
- Proven experience in transaction execution, including due diligence, financial analysis, valuation and returns modelling, risk assessment, and preparation of investment papers and transaction documentation.
- Strong financial modelling capability, including advanced technical skills, model build and review experience, sensitivity analysis, and sound model design principles.
