Our client, a rapidly expanding global infrastructure and energy investor, is seeking a high-performing Associate (2-4 years’ experience) to join their Sydney-based Investment Team.
This is a rare opportunity to work on complex, large-scale infrastructure/enrgy core and core plus transactions across international markets. You’ll collaborate closely with senior investment leaders and global partners, playing an integral role in sourcing, executing, and managing high-impact infrastructure investments worldwide.
The Opportunity
As an Associate, you will be actively involved across the full investment lifecycle, spanning origination, execution, and asset management. You will contribute to high‑quality transactions that shape essential infrastructure globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the end-to-end investment process: sourcing, due diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closing of direct infrastructure and energy transactions.
- Manage active deal pipelines and coordinate internal approval processes.
- Prepare comprehensive investment papers including financial modelling, valuation analysis, risk assessment, and market/competitor research.
- Present investment recommendations to internal committees and contribute to investor communications.
- Support ongoing asset management activities, including board participation, performance monitoring, strategic reviews, and follow-on investments.
- Conduct market research and help develop thematic and regional investment strategies.
- Collaborate closely with global colleagues and external partners across multiple time zones.
About You
- 2-4 years’ experience in private equity (ideally infrastructure), infrastructure investment banking.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Commercially astute, proactive, and detail-oriented with a collaborative approach.
- High integrity and strong professional standards.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
