A newly established energy platform within a well-capitalised, diversified private investment firm is seeking a senior investment professional to drive execution and development across its growing pipeline of energy transition assets. The firm invests directly from its own balance sheet. The energy team has been purpose-built to originate, develop and invest in large-scale generation, storage and hybrid assets across Australia, with increasing deal flow now driving this hire.
This is a hands-on execution role with broad exposure across the full investment lifecycle, from early-stage origination and screening through to FID and financial close. You will work closely with internal investment leadership and directly with developers, OEMs, lenders and commercial counterparties, with meaningful visibility to investment committee from day one.
Responsibilities span greenfield development and selective brownfield optimisation, and the role sits outside traditional PPP frameworks, offering a more dynamic and commercially varied workstream than conventional infrastructure investing.
You will bring 4-7 years of experience across infrastructure investing, project finance or energy advisory, with strong exposure to renewable energy, storage or adjacent energy transition sectors. Essential to the role is a background in financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and commercial structuring across transactions or development projects.
